Our commitment to charity fundraising.

Over the past five years the studio has donated gifts of monetary measures along with our signature sessions as auction items to raise money for our beloved charities. The charities chosen are accredited organizations whose main goal is to assist children and animals. A partial list of our chosen groups are: The Hellenic Cardiac Fund, Operation Smile, Children's Hospital Boston, The Woodside School, BIT Auction ( Foxboro Elementarty Schools), Rodman Ride for Kids and the Greyhound Friends.

Our year to date offerings exceed $10,000 and we are proud to feature the recipients who have contributed to our efforts.

Public Garden Engagment Session 8.6.09

The Boston Public Garden has got to be the most romantic backdrop for an Engagement Session. Alexandra and Mike are soon to wed and since they both live in the city, this spot could not have been more fitting. The infamous swan boats and ice cream truck bring back fond memories of my many, many family outings to the Park with Mom,Dad and Sis. Looking forward to bringing the wedding party back and the couple as Mr. & Mrs!

Beach Sessions Still Available

I know it seems like summer will never get here. Each day seems to pass in slow motion. A peak through the blinds reveals the same vision;skies filled with cumulus clouds and even pellets of hail. Sure enough this can't last forever and once the skies clear you will be in the mood: to play, travel and do just about anything outside. Plan now to have your summer session created. It is not too late and we are still taking appointments. August is the busiest season, but I can always squeeze you in.
Mention this blog posting and receive a complimentary 5x7 from your session. (Special blog offer only).

Joann and Bill were lots of fun to work with and they certainly do photograph well. A tell tail sign their wedding photos will be superb! See you guys in August.

Meet Sarah Appleby 2009 Boston Arthritis Walk Ambassador

Through my chosen profession, I have met quite a few interesting and motivating people throughout the years. Recently I was asked to prepare a "head-shot" for a young lady in need of a press release image. The results are shown, fully mastered as a professional image should be. I wanted to share Sarah's story in hopes of inspiring others.

Sarah Appleby has captained Boston Walk Team "Team Foxboro" for the last two years. In that time, the team has raised over remarkable $16,000! This was not an easy task, but the now seventeen year old was determined that she would do the best she could to support the Arthritis Foundation. The Foundation was the first place she and her family turned to when she was diagnosed at age 15 with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. To read more you can find her bio on: www.bostonarthritiswalk.org Check the link to the left that says "Meet Ambassador Sarah Appleby.

Cindy & Scott's City Session

C indy and Scott will be getting married this July but first we have to do their Engagement Session. This is not the stiff and formal announcement type of yester-year. This is what today's contemporary and savvy couples look for. A unique way of documenting their relationship in a casual fun and creative manner. I am open to anything out of the ordinary and when Cindy proposed we do a night time session in Boston, I clicked my heals with joy.

Thanks to their friend, PJ who assisted me in holding a video light on a light stick, I was able to capture these images. Here is what they had to say about them:

"Scott and I would like to thank you for your ability to make our engagement session last night so easy. You truly have a gift to make people feel comfortable in what for some can be an awkward situation. Your gift to see the beauty in small things that would have never caught our eye... is amazing. We can not wait to view our session. I will leave you with my favorite quote :

"Life is not measured
in moments in time,

but in timeless
moments."

You capture the timeless moments!"

Tutu Cute!

Analiese Turns Two! What a joy to witness so much sweentess in such a little package. I have not seen Analies since her last update last year at the age of 1 and boy how she has changed. She is now a little ballerina and loves to dance and twirl and spin and spin and spin.

She arrived a bit apprehensive and afraid of dogs. I put Zoe in the house and off to the the studio we went to create the images you see here. Half way through our play/photo session there were requests by our visitor to see the doggie. In came Zoe and by the time her Mommy took her home Analiese was laughing and hugging Zoe as if they were long lost friends. It was later reported she ( yes the 2 year old) could not stop talking about her day here and even named one of her white stuffed animals "Zoe". I guess she too had a good day.

New Arrivals

Little Isabella is the pride and joy of her parent's Tinna and Vinnie. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding a couple of years ago. Vinnie is the fourth sibling in his family to have invited me to document all of the special moments in their lives. Isabella is the ninth cousin to join the group and I have recorded all of their arrivals from day one. How wonderful for me so see these families grow and how grateful to have been selected as their visual record keeper.

Here is were we picked up after the wedding...
and here is our next beginning...

Before & After Effects

I just returned from the most amazing photographer's convention and trade show in the country. With over 10,000 attendees and booth after booth of awe inspiring ideas, I have to say I am pleasantly overwhelmed. I found creative album companies and innovative media options to share with you. Stay tuned for the results.

In addition, with all the creativity surrounding me, I felt compelled to work on my own images which I rarely have time to do. It was great to step outside the casino and breath in the fresh mountain are. Hope you enjoy.
Just wanted to share the before and after results. To fully appreciate, click on image to enlarge.
